WHAT IS
FASP?
The Funeral Aid Society of Peel (FASP) serves the Muslim community by providing compassionate support during one of life’s most difficult moments. Islam teaches us that death is a certainty decreed by Allah ﷻ and that every soul shall return to Him, with the hope of Jannah (In shā’ Allāh).
In a time when funeral and burial costs continue to rise, many families face emotional and financial hardship. Guided by the principles of brotherhood, dignity, and collective responsibility, we strive to ensure that every Muslim is laid to rest in accordance with Islamic teachings—promptly, respectfully, and without unnecessary burden.
Our mission is simple: to support families, uphold the Sunnah, and ensure that no one in the Peel Region faces this moment alone.
The Funeral Aid Society of Peel (FASP) is a not-for-profit organization established to unite the Muslim community through a membership-based platform rooted in compassion, cooperation, and mutual support. Our mission is to stand together in times of hardship, sharing one another’s grief and supporting families when they need it most.
In the event of the death of a member or an immediate family member, FASP aims to cover all necessary burial expenses in accordance with Islamic teachings, ensuring that no family feels helpless or burdened by financial hardship during a time of loss.
This initiative is founded on the principle of Sadaqah Jāriyah—an ongoing charity—through which members support one another for the sake of Allah ﷻ. With sincere intentions, we hope this noble cause will continue to benefit future generations, In shā’ Allāh.
We invite the community to join hands in supporting this mission, remembering that death is a reality we all will face, and that caring for one another is a responsibility of the Ummah.
