What if someone dies in his/her home country?​

Our services are only available in reach of Jame Makki Masjid or ISNA Mississauga, therefore unfortunately if one dies in his/ her home country FASP cannot do anything.

Who can join FASP?

All Muslims who live in the region of Peel and are in the reach of Jame Makki Masjid of Brampton or Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) in Mississauga.

Can those who have an International Student or Refugee status in Canada join FASP?​

Yes if they are living in the reach of Jame Makki Masjid of Brampton or Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) in Mississauga.

If a registered member moves to another part of the GTA, will he/ she be benefitted by the services FASP provides?

Yes, the member will receive the benefits/services of FASP as long as he/ she are in the reach of Jame Makki Masjid of Brampton or Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) Mississauga.

How can I become a member?

In order to become a member you must fill up a member registration form and pay a $100 (CAD) fee (Non-refundable).

When will my services be activated?

The services will be activated 90 days after the application is approved, and membership fee is withdrawn.

In case of member death, how FASP will inform to all members?

FASP will inform to all the members by telephone, e-mail or text messages that is why it is important to update your contact information.

Why should I inform to my friends and mention their names in the application?

In case of death FASP will be able to contact your friend to get information regarding burial arrangements and to fill out relevant documents. Otherwise your friends could help inform FASP about its member.

Can parents be added as additional members in the application form?

No, they have to submit a separate application for their membership.

How much is the membership fee?

Principal applicant fee $ 100.00 (CAD) and for each additional member in the same family (spouse/children) fee is $ 15.00 (CAD).

Who is an additional member?

Additional members are the dependents in your family tree, and can only be your spouse and/ or children.

If an additional member is living with parents and gets merry, does he/she need a separate registration?

Yes, the newlywed couple must fill out a separate application but he will pay only $ 85.00 as a principle applicant and $15.00 for spouse as an additional member.

If a member is blessed with another child what must he/she do?

He/ she must update their application within 3 months and pay $15.00 to register the baby an additional member.

If a member does not pay his share of the dues, what action will be taken by the Society?

FASP will remind him/her, first to pay his/her share however, if he/she fails to do so then FASP has a right to revoke his/her membership and will not get any benefit of the society.

If the member writes a “will” that he/she should be buried in back home how will FASP help?

If the member has mentioned in his/ her will that he/ she would prefer to be buried in his/her back homeland. FASP will pay for the burial expenses, if the airline provides free transportation services to the desired destination.

Will services be provided, if death occurs out of reach of Jame Makki Masjid and ISNA Mississauga or out of the Country?

No, our services are only available in reach of Jame Makki Masjid or ISNA Mississauga.

What should I do if a member dies at home?
